Fajã da Ovelha

Fajã da Ovelha is a beautiful town positioned on the top of a rock facing the southwest.

The village traces its origins to a small ancient chapel dedicated to São Lourenço around, which grew a quite significant additional population.

According to tradition this place is said to be protected by Saint Amaro because it seems that Faja da Ovelha is falling over the cliff above the village of Paul do Mar.
