Mostly pebbled and a few natural sandy beaches and pool complexes are found in Madeira, most of them equipped with changing rooms and first aid and lifeguard surveillance. On the other hand, Porto Santo Island is famous for its beautiful long golden sandy beaches but with fewer facilities.
